Me and My Monkey

I always showed an interest in golf while growing up.  Took some lessons with the local recreation department but didn't really get into it until I got to High School and I went out for the Golf Team.  During that time, my sister was into crafts  where she would buy plaster figures and paint them.  So, one Christmas or Birthday or other occasion, she made this monkey for me.

As you can see, it's had a bit of a hard life.  Scratches here, chips there.  But somehow, during all my moves around the country, I brought along the monkey.  It was never displayed in a prominent location, probably spending half it's life in a box or so, but isn't that how it goes?  I had to clean off quite a bit of dust and dirt before taking his picture.

But, sadly, it comes time for all things to pass.  So long, monkey.  I'll remember you fondly and thank my sister for putting that effort into making him for me.  And it reminds me of the Beatles
